Job Title: Freelance PCB Design Engineer (Defence/Civil Drone Project)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced PCB Design Engineer to join our dynamic drone development project on a freelance basis. This role focuses on designing high-reliability PCBs for defence and civil drones using Altium Designer. You will work closely with our engineering team to deliver robust, manufacturable PCB layouts that meet stringent performance and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize multi-layer PCB layouts for drone electronics using Altium Designer.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand circuit requirements and translate them into PCB designs.
Ensure designs comply with defense and civil standards for reliability, EMI/EMC, and environmental conditions.
Perform design reviews, signal integrity analysis, and DFM checks.
Troubleshoot and resolve PCB design issues throughout the development cycle.
Work within project timelines to meet milestones and deliverables.
Maintain clear documentation of PCB designs and revisions.
Requirements:
Proven experience in PCB design using Altium Designer (mandatory).
Strong background in designing PCBs for aerospace, defense, or drone-related electronics preferred.
Knowledge of high-speed digital, RF, and power electronics PCB design principles.
Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM), EMI/EMC considerations, and IPC standards.
Ability to work independently and deliver quality results in a remote freelance environment.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Availability to commit 40 hours per week for 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with embedded systems and sensor interfaces used in drones.
Prior involvement in defense or civil aviation electronics projects.
Understanding of regulatory compliance in aerospace/defense sectors.
