For a global customer close to Valenciennes, I am searching for a senior freelance Network Engineer to provide L2/L3 support.
Responsibilities
- Be the SPOC for all network related questions of the client
- LAN management on Cisco routing and switching devices
- Manage, develop and troubleshoot the Cisco wireless LAN in the factory and the offices areas
- Network Access Control with Cisco ISE
- Provide load balancing services with F5
- Update firewall rules on Palo Alto supporting network changes
- Monitor and escalate WAN related issues and provide communication
- Support the business in projects that require network services
- Plan and manage network change projects (e.g. Network segmentation)
- Provide physical installation or troubleshooting support when required
- Plan and manage HW and software upgrades
- Work with Service Now (ticket system), following ITIL principles
- Join your colleagues to perform on-call duty, usually one week per month
- Work outside business hours and on weekends if the tasks require it (e.g. for network maintenance)
Profile
- At least 5 years’ experience in either IT provider organizations or large internal customer IT organisations
- Strong experience with Routing, Switching devices, Wireless controllers, Network Access Control
- At least 5 years’ experience in LAN management
- Knowledge of Cisco, Solarwinds and Orion is expected for troubleshooting issues
- Good knowledge of F5
- Experience in connectivity for IoT devices is a bonus
- Wi-fi/Wireless experience
- Practical experience in Project planning and Change management
- Experience of the EMC environment
- Experience in crisis management

ONSITE POLICY: 2-3 days per week
TRAVEL: Occasional travel to Brussels office
