We are currently searching for a German speaking electrical project engineer for a project working with a ship building company based in Germany. The role will require 2/3 days a week on site in Northern Germany and project will be minimum 12 months long.

As a Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with various departments (such as project management, manufacturing, commissioning, and development) to carry out the technical design of equipment and systems
Creating comprehensive design documentation including layout drawings, cable overview and connection plans, circuit diagrams, assembly and construction documents, parts lists, and equipment connection specifications
Developing and preparing construction documents for manufacturing, while ensuring compliance with specifications, classification standards, manufacturer guidelines, and relevant regulations
Conducting detailed technical reviews with project stakeholders and sub-suppliers, with a focus on optimizing cable lengths
Providing framework data for cable routing (including type, category, and length limits) and maintaining this information in the cable planning tool
Defining and coordinating technical interfaces
Creating and managing a material catalogue
Ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
Verifying compliance with technical standards and compiling comprehensive project documentation
Supporting the development of test specifications and delivery protocols for customer and classification society acceptance
Preparing change notifications, including detailed descriptions in both German and English
You’ll excel in this role if you have:
A completed technical education and approximately 1-2 years of relevant professional experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
Proficiency in design software such as EPLAN
Broad system knowledge of SNE products and solutions
Solid experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio)
A good understanding of applicable rules, standards, and classification regulations
