About the Role
We are helping our client expand their FPGA team with a strong FPGA Integration & Test Engineer. This role is focused primarily on integration and testing activities rather than pure FPGA design.
The team currently works with a structured development process including design, unit testing, and modular testing. The goal of this assignment is to strengthen and expand the integration testing phase, ensuring that all modules are properly integrated into the existing FPGA architecture and validated thoroughly.
This is a 12-month freelance assignment. There is potential for extension if there is a strong mutual fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration of multiple FPGA modules into an existing architecture
- Expansion and improvement of integration testing processes
- FPGA-level validation and verification
- System-level testing of integrated modules
- Supporting architectural validation and refinement
- Collaborating closely with FPGA design engineers
Role Focus
- ~75% Integration & Testing
- ~25% FPGA Design Support
This is not a pure design role. We are specifically looking for someone who enjoys working on integration, validation, and testing activities while still having a solid FPGA design background.
Required Profile
- Strong experience with FPGA development
- Proven experience in FPGA integration and testing
- Background in FPGA design (essential for understanding architecture)
- Experience with unit testing, modular testing, and system-level testing
- Ability to work independently in a structured development environment
