Forward Deployed Engineer
Location: Remote (US or Canada)
Â
Our customer is looking to add an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to their engineering team.
Â
This is not a traditional data engineering role. They’re looking for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous business problems, building demonstrations, iterating quickly with stakeholders, and delivering production-ready applications from concept through deployment.
You’ll work alongside domain experts and engineering leadership to build decision intelligence solutions supporting complex operational environments.
Â
What You’ll Do:
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and
translate them into software solutions.
• Design and develop end-to-end applications using Palantir Foundry, Ontology,
and Foundry-native application frameworks.
• Model complex operational domains including assets, facilities, supply chains,
incidents, processes, and critical infrastructure.
• Build production-grade applications supporting disruption monitoring, alert
triage, scenario analysis, workflow automation, and operational decision
support.
• Integrate enterprise systems, APIs, event streams, IoT data, and third-party data
sources into scalable operational workflows.
• Rapidly prototype solutions, build demonstrations, gather feedback, and iterate
toward production-ready applications.
• Collaborate with technical and domain specialists to design secure, scalable
architectures.
• Develop reusable frameworks and accelerators that can be leveraged across
multiple initiatives.
Â
Ideal candidates will have:
Â
• Commercial experience delivering solutions on Palantir Foundry.
• Experience with Ontology modeling and Foundry-native application
development.
• Strong software engineering skills using Python and modern frontend
technologies such as TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience building APIs, integrations, and production applications.
• The ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience taking products from zero to one – not simply maintaining existing
pipelines.
• A strong ownership mindset and the ability to work independently in fast-moving
environments.
• Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
