I am working with a local authority who are seeking an experienced Contaminated Land Consultant to support the Pollution Control function through the assessment of land contamination matters associated with planning applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and respond to consultations on planning applications relating to contaminated land and air quality.
- Critically assess Phase 1 and Phase 2 site investigation reports, remediation method statements, and verification reports
- Produce and submit clear, robust written consultation responses to the Planning Authority within the statutory target response time of 21 days (3 weeks).
- Accurately update the Uniform database and associated document management systems in line with required standards.
- Maintain effective communication with the Pollution Control Manager via email, online meetings, and telephone as required.
