Location: North East
Contract: 6 months (possible extension)
Hours: Flexible – Part-time or Full-time
Rate: £40–£45 per hour
Working Arrangement: Highly flexible (site visits + remote report writing)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Private Water Supplies Risk Assessor to support a programme of scheduled risk assessments across the North East. This is an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Health professional looking for flexibility, autonomy, and a well-structured interim assignment.
The role offers complete flexibility around working hours, with the option to work part-time or full-time, and a strong balance between site-based work and home-based report writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking and coordinating appointments directly with premises owners and occupiers
- Undertaking Private Water Supplies risk assessments in line with current legislation and guidance
- Conducting site visits across the North East
- Producing clear, accurate, and timely written risk assessment reports
- Maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders throughout the assessment process
Key Requirements
- Proven experience carrying out Private Water Supplies risk assessments
- Background in Environmental Health or a related discipline
- Strong report-writing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Access to transport for site visits within the North East
