Enterprise Architect / Strategist – International Organisation
For an international customer in Brussels, I am looking for an Enterprise Architect to join on a long term, freelance mission. The customer are currently reviewing and evolving its enterprise technology landscape, and need an Enterprise Architect / Product Strategist to join on a freelance mission.
They need a consultant to assess the existing technology estate, mature business requirements, evaluate platform options, and define future-state enterprise and integration architectures.
The environment is mixed, including custom-built applications, SaaS, enterprise platforms, and low-code/no-code solutions, with a Microsoft-centred landscape and AWS infrastructure.
The role will initially require on-site presence in Brussels, with the engagement becoming more flexible over time.
Responsibilities
- Assess existing business requirements and drive them towards implementation readiness.
- Assess the current enterprise and application landscape against business needs, constraints, and future requirements.
- Provide recommendations on build, buy, reuse, and retire decisions.
- Develop technology strategies and roadmaps for upcoming platform decisions and major platform transitions.
- Define migration strategies, sequencing, and phased delivery roadmaps while maintaining business continuity.
- Establish architectural guardrails for systems remaining on the legacy estate during transition.
- Validate architecture and technology recommendations with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Present recommendations and architectural decisions to senior management.
Profile
- Senior Enterprise Architect / Technology Architect with strong Solution Architecture experience.
- Strong understanding of enterprise and integration architecture.
- Experience defining migration strategies and technology roadmaps.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, MySQL, AWS, and ideally Oracle is beneficial.
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Strategist, or equivalent business-facing technology leadership role is desirable.
