Documentation Engineer – Aviation project – (Embedded Linux Yocto) – Overijssel, Netherlands (remote work possible)
An industry-leading client is seeking a Documentation Engineer to assist with the documentation process for an ongoing camera project aimed at a major avionics customer. The project utilises Embedded Linux (Yocto), and your primary role will be to document and describe the developments made in the project.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Documentation: Provide comprehensive documentation of the product development process, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly described and easy to understand.
- Requirement Translation: Translate customer requirements into detailed deliverables for the project, ensuring clarity and alignment with client needs.
- Test Documentation: Document test results, providing detailed descriptions of the tests conducted and the outcomes.
Requirements:
- Experience: A senior software engineer or designer comfortable focusing on documentation within an aviation project.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of device driver development, with experience in camera systems being a plus.
- Standards Familiarity: Experience with DO-178 (software development process for airborne systems) is highly advantageous, and familiarity with DO-254 (hardware development process) is beneficial.
- Skills: Background in C/C++ programming and Embedded Linux development is desirable. Knowledge of Yocto is an added advantage.
- Language: Proficiency in English is mandatory.
