We’re looking for a driven and experienced Housing Development Manager to join our established Housing Association client, based primarily in the South West. In this exciting role, you’ll be key to delivering an ambitious development programme, helping to create affordable homes and vibrant, sustainable communities across the region.
Our client is a leading provider of affordable housing, committed to making a positive impact in the lives of residents throughout the South West. With a strong focus on growth and innovation, they are expanding their development programme to meet the region’s pressing housing needs.
The Role:
As Housing Development Manager, you will:
- Lead and deliver new affordable housing developments from initial concept to successful completion.
- Identify and evaluate new development opportunities, securing funding and ensuring strong financial viability.
- Collaborate effectively with local authorities, contractors, and key stakeholders to drive project progress.
- Ensure all developments meet high-quality standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability targets.
- Manage budgets, risks, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
About You:
We’re looking for a motivated and experienced professional who brings:
- Proven experience in housing development, project management, or property development.
- A solid understanding of the housing sector, ideally gained within a housing association, local authority, or private sector developer.
- In-depth knowledge of funding mechanisms, planning regulations, and relevant housing policies within the South West region.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable housing solutions that benefit local communities.
- Knowledge of the South West housing market.
