Freelance Master Data Analyst

The Opportunity

For an innovative company in East Flanders, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Data Analyst to strengthen the data and digital transformation team. In this role, you will take ownership of the company’s master data landscape, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and reliable data while driving automation and reporting initiatives across multiple business domains.

You will work on optimizing the organization’s PIM (Pimcore) environment, contribute to automation initiatives, and support business stakeholders with valuable insights through Power BI and SQL. While the company is working within an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment, the focus is on delivering sustainable solutions rather than project-based work.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and continuously optimize the Pimcore PIM environment.
• Ensure the quality, completeness, and consistency of master data across the organization.
• Support master data governance and establish best practices for data management.
• Develop SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Build and improve Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate business processes using automation and AI technologies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders across different departments, including logistics and other operational teams.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Support the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud landscape from a functional master data perspective.
• Continuously improve data processes and drive operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Master Data Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience with SQL
• Experience with Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
• Knowledge of master data management and data governance principles.
• Experience with Pimcore PIM or another Product Information Management solution is a strong advantage.
• Experience within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or SAP master data processes.
• Affinity with automation or AI-driven process improvements.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or English. French is a good +

Nice to Have

• Experience with Product Information Management (PIM) platforms.
• Knowledge of Digital Asset Management (DAM).
• Experience working in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environments.
