Construction Risk Manager Contract Role – Oslo, Norway

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support construction projects in Oslo, Norway. This is an opportunity to apply your risk management expertise within a construction environment, helping identify potential challenges, develop mitigation strategies and support successful project delivery.

The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 2–3 days per week on-site in Oslo and a 40-hour working week. English-speaking candidates are required.

Main responsibilities

• Identify, assess and monitor risks across construction projects.
• Develop and maintain risk registers, risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to identify risks and implement appropriate responses.
• Assess the potential impact of risks on project schedules, budgets, quality and delivery.
• Monitor emerging risks and ensure mitigation measures are implemented effectively.
• Prepare risk reports and communicate key findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Support project planning and decision-making through structured risk analysis.
• Promote a proactive approach to risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience in risk management within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction project risks, assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies.
• Experience developing risk registers and reporting on project risks.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work on-site in Oslo 2–3 days per week.
