Job Title: Construction Manager – Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project
Location: Near Kassel, Hessen, Germany

About the Project:
Join a cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project featuring a 17 MW / 34 MWh capacity installation. The project includes cable routing (~1000 m) to the DSO substation and grid connection at 20 kV within the substation in Hessen, Germany.
Role Overview:
As the Construction Manager, you will lead the coordination and management of contractors on site, ensuring smooth execution of the BESS and Balance of Plant (BoP) works. You will serve as a key interface between stakeholders, track project progress, and support milestone approvals to ensure the successful delivery of this important renewable energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate contractors involved in BESS and BoP scopes
- Participate in weekly and monthly site meetings to align project progress
- Track construction progress and prepare regular reports for stakeholders
- Manage interfaces between different contractors and maintain the interface register
- Support defect tracking processes and facilitate project handover activities
- Assist the project team during on-site inspections to approve key milestones
- Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) topics (note: no direct responsibility for HSE enforcement)
Requirements:
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
- Proven experience working on German renewable energy projects
- Strong preference for candidates with background in Solar or Battery Energy Storage Systems
- EU passport holder or German resident (to comply with local regulations)
