Our client delivers complex civil infrastructure projects, coordinating contractors and project teams to complete works safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the full A–Z delivery of a civil infrastructure build in West Flanders, from mobilisation through construction and handover.
The civil/CSA package is the largest part of the project, so substantial experience managing civil/CSA works is essential. Your responsibility will cover the entire build, including coordination across other construction packages. You will supervise the contractor and serve as the main on-site point of contact for the project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Join the project team as Construction Manager, taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of the complete build.
- Manage the project from site mobilisation through construction, completion, and handover
- Lead delivery of the civil/CSA package and coordinate its interfaces with all other construction works
- Supervise the contractor, monitor performance, and resolve issues affecting safety, quality, or progress
- Act as the main on-site point of contact for the project managers, providing progress updates and escalating key decisions
- Coordinate construction schedules, work sequences, site access, materials, equipment, and resources across the build
- Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentation
- Work with engineering and project teams to resolve technical queries, clashes, and site constraints
- Monitor progress against the programme and coordinate actions to address delays
- Oversee inspections, quality records, outstanding works, and handover documentation
- Ensure all site activities meet project health, safety, quality, and client requirements
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager delivering civil infrastructure or comparable large-scale construction projects
- Extensive civil/CSA experience, including management of major construction packages
- Experience overseeing the full construction lifecycle, from mobilisation to handover
- Ability to coordinate work across multiple packages and manage their interfaces
- Experience supervising contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary site teams
- Confidence acting as the principal on-site contact for project managers
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation
- Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Sound understanding of site safety, quality control, and construction sequencing
- Relevant civil engineering, construction management, or technical qualification
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Available to work 5 days per week on site in West Flanders
- Available to start at the end of October
