Our client is a leading chemical company based in Antwerp, delivering a range of capital projects across their industrial manufacturing operations. The organisation is focused on safe and efficient project execution, continuous improvement, and long-term site development within a complex process environment.


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a varied portfolio of projects within the chemical sector. You will initially support smaller CAPEX projects before transitioning onto a major project exceeding €100 million in value.

The role requires an individual capable of managing the full project lifecycle from concept through to completion, whilst leading and developing a younger project team within a fast-paced EPCM/client-side environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead construction activities across a portfolio of chemical sector projects
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning and execution through to commissioning and handover
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders within EPCM or client-side environments
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
  • Drive construction strategy, site execution, and contractor performance
  • Support and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and productive working culture
  • Manage communication between engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all site safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager within industrial or chemical sector projects
  • Experience managing projects across a range of CAPEX values
  • Strong EPCM or client-side project experience
  • Ability to manage the complete project lifecycle from concept to completion
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities
  • Dutch and English language skills are essential
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach
  • Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
