Freelance Cable Foreman (Kabeltiefbau / Gleisbau) – 2 Positions Available

Workload: 10 hours per day, 50–60 hours per week

Overview

We are currently seeking two experienced Cable Foremen to support a major railway infrastructure project in Lower Bavaria, near Regensburg.

The available positions are:

• Cable Foreman – Kabeltiefbau (Cable Civil Works)
• Cable Foreman – Gleisbau (Track Construction)

The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising on-site construction activities, coordinating teams and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained, and supporting the successful delivery of works within the Deutsche Bahn environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities within the assigned work package.
• Manage construction teams, subcontractors, and site resources.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
• Monitor progress against schedules and report on project status.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering teams, and client representatives.
• Ensure adherence to Deutsche Bahn regulations, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues to minimise delays and disruptions.
• Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting.

Position-Specific Experience

Cable Foreman – Kabeltiefbau

• Proven experience supervising cable trenching, duct installation, cable route construction, and associated civil works.
• Strong understanding of underground cable infrastructure and utility coordination.

Cable Foreman – Gleisbau

• Proven experience supervising railway track construction, renewal, maintenance, or associated rail infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of railway construction methodologies and track-related safety requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working as a Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar leadership role within railway infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrable experience on Deutsche Bahn projects is essential.
• Fluent German language skills (spoken and written).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure construction environment.
• Good understanding of health, safety, and quality management practices.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must hold a valid EU passport or have legal residency and work authorization in Germany.
• Available to start immediately or within June 2026.
• Willing to work on-site in Lower Bavaria near Regensburg.

Contract Details

• Freelance engagement through 30 November 2026.
• Long working days and high project activity levels (50–60 hours per week).
• Competitive daily rate dependent on experience and suitability.
