Job Title: Bid Manager (Electrical Projects)
Start Date: ASAP (within 2-3 weeks)

Location: Hybrid – Remote & Leamington Spa

Working Days: 3 days per week
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager with a strong electrical engineering background, ideally in project management, to join our team on a part-time contract basis. This role involves leading the preparation and submission of bids for transformer and reactor projects, ensuring technical accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the bid process for electrical systems projects, focusing on transformers and reactors.
Liaise with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to gather required inputs.
Review client specifications and ensure proposals meet technical and commercial criteria.
Develop clear, compelling, and competitive bid documentation and pricing strategies.
Manage timelines to ensure bids are delivered on time and to a high standard.
Provide insights and recommendations for bid/no-bid decisions based on risk and feasibility.
Maintain bid documentation and support post-bid clarifications when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Bid Manager, Project Manager, or similar role within the electrical engineering or power systems industry.
Strong technical understanding of transformers, reactors, and associated electrical infrastructure.
Experience managing bids from concept to submission in an engineering or technical sales context.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project or bid management tools.
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Prior experience working on UK-based or international utility projects.
Familiarity with industry standards and client requirements in the power transmission sector.
