About the Client:
Our client is an Italian Electrical Subcontractor working on Data Centre projects with a range of large end-clients.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Authorised Person to support a Data Centre project in Milan. You will be working onsite through the project from preconstruction thought to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement the hazardous energy control programme, ensuring that all isolation and energisation activities are carried out in complete safety
  • Manage the LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) programme: He/she acts as the lead authority for lockout and tagout procedures, verifying that all isolation points are identified, locked and tagged, and energised before any work commences.
  • Energisation Supervision: Coordinate the critical phases of initial energisation of switchgear, generators and UPS systems, working closely with commissioning teams.
  • Audits and Compliance: Carry out field inspections and document audits to verify that contractors & subs comply with electrical safety standards
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise between construction teams, contractors and the data centre’s final operations to ensure a safe handover of systems

Candidate Requirements:

  • EU passport holder or Italian permanent resident
  • Experience as an Authorised Person
  • Data Centre experience
  • Fluent English, Italian (beneficial)
  • Happy to work onsite in Milan, Italy

Contract Details:
Location: 5 days on-site in Milan
Duration: 18 month contract
Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience and qualification
