Join a Growing Planning Consultancy with Exciting Career Opportunities

Due to continued growth and increasing demand from both existing and new clients, we’re looking for an experienced Town Planner to join our expanding London team. With a growing pipeline of projects across both the private and public sectors, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planner who is ready to take the next step in their career.

As our reputation continues to grow, we’re securing larger and more complex projects, and we’re looking for someone who can help strengthen our planning team while building lasting client relationships and winning new work.

The Role

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be involved in projects from the earliest pre-application stages through to public consultations and planning submissions, providing expert planning advice across a broad range of developments.

You’ll work on:

  • Residential developments, particularly low-rise housing schemes
  • Education sector projects
  • Local Authority masterplans
  • Planning strategy, applications and appeals
  • Public consultations
  • Planning policy advice
  • Client relationship management and business development

Working closely with the Director of Planning, you’ll also play an important role in helping to coordinate the planning team and support junior colleagues.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical planning expertise with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

You’ll ideally have:

  • MRTPI accreditation (essential)
  • 5-8 years’ post-qualification experience (or equivalent level)
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and planning legislation
  • Experience working on larger, more complex planning projects
  • A corporate and commercially minded approach
  • The confidence to develop client relationships and help win new work
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to support and mentor others

We’re also happy to consider candidates from a Local Authority background, provided you have established relationships within the development sector and can leverage your planning network.

Why Join Us?

You’ll be joining a vibrant and growing planning consultancy of around 35 people, with a close-knit planning team of three. Our London Bridge office is a creative warehouse-style studio, and we pride ourselves on maintaining an informal, collaborative and sociable culture.

We regularly organise company events including summer picnics, rooftop socials and team celebrations, creating an environment where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.

What We Offer

  • Salary of £45,000-£70,000 depending on experience
  • Annual bonus scheme
  • Opportunity to purchase company shares after three years
  • Hybrid working (minimum two days in the London Bridge office)
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Additional holiday entitlement with length of service (up to 30 days)
  • Pension with salary sacrifice (5% employer / 5% employee)
  • Mileage paid at 55p per mile
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Structured progression with six-monthly reviews
  • Annual salary reviews every April
  • Three-month probation period (with potential extension to six months)

If you’re an ambitious MRTPI planner with 5-8 years’ experience looking to join a growing consultancy where you’ll have genuine responsibility, exposure to high-quality projects and the opportunity to help shape the future of the planning team, we’d love to hear from you.
