Asbestos Officer
Central Belt, Scotland | 6-Month Contract
We’re recruiting for an experienced Asbestos Officer to join a leading social housing provider on an initial 6-month contract based in the Central Belt of Scotland.
This is a predominantly office-based role with occasional site visits, supporting the effective management of asbestos compliance across the housing portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing asbestos surveying and removal contracts.
- Ensuring asbestos reports are completed, reviewed and uploaded onto internal systems.
- Coordinating and responding to ad hoc asbestos-related emergencies.
- Supporting asbestos compliance across planned and responsive maintenance programmes.
- Liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure statutory compliance.
Essential requirements:
- Previous asbestos experience within social housing.
- BOHS P402 qualification as a minimum.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Experience managing asbestos data, reports and compliance records.
- Full UK driving licence.
