About the Client:
Our client is a leading organisation within the electronic security industry, delivering and supporting advanced security solutions across a wide range of customer sites throughout Belgium.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Application Engineer to join their central support team based at their headquarters in Flemish Brabant. Rather than working on-site with customers, you will provide remote technical support and application expertise for security systems deployed across multiple locations.
Role Overview:
As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise security applications from the client’s headquarters. You will act as the technical expert for CCTV, video management and access control platforms, ensuring customer systems remain operational and resolving complex application-related issues remotely.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong application support experience and specialist knowledge of Milestone and Genetec platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line remote support for CCTV, video management and access control applications.
- Diagnose and resolve application incidents, performance issues and system faults.
- Support customers remotely from the headquarters in Aarschot.
- Configure, maintain and optimise Milestone and Genetec environments.
- Perform software updates, patches and system health checks.
- Work closely with field engineers when on-site intervention is required.
- Assist with system implementations, upgrades and migrations.
- Document incidents, technical solutions and best practices.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and timely incident resolution.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Application Engineer, Application Support Engineer or Technical Support Engineer.
- Strong experience supporting Milestone XProtect.
- Good knowledge of Genetec Security Center.
- Experience supporting CCTV, video management and/or access control solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience working in a customer-facing support environment.
- Fluent Dutch is mandatory.
- English is an advantage.
