AI Research Engineer – Brussels – 12-month contract
A market-leading client based in Brussels is seeking an experienced AI Research Engineer to support a series of exciting greenfield projects that will have a global impact. You will contribute to advancing the deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions, particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), and the development of AI agents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and fine-tune LLMs and VLM models for various applications.
- Research and develop new AI methodologies, focusing on the latest advancements in AI agents.
- Work on practical solutions using frameworks like Langchain, Langgraph, and other related tools.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience developing and deploying AI agents (e.g., conversational agents, reinforcement learning agents, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and VLMs, including fine-tuning models.
- Proficiency in PyTorch, specifically for fine-tuning models (e.g., LORA, PTFT).
- Strong academic background, ideally with a PhD in AI, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Familiarity with frameworks like Langchain, Langgraph, and similar tools is a plus.

- Location: Brussels (1-2 days onsite per week).
- Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension.
- Start Date: April 2025
