About the Role

An international consulting and accounting services firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support and develop a growing client portfolio, primarily based in Luxembourg.

This is a client-facing leadership role requiring a strong accounting background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic international environment. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients while overseeing accounting deliverables and supporting business growth in Luxembourg.

The position is primarily based in Luxembourg, with occasional travel to Brussels as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Luxembourg-based and international clients, ensuring high-quality accounting and reporting services.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and transparent communication.
• Lead client meetings, onboarding activities, and implementation of new mandates.
• Review and oversee accounting deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and identify opportunities to support additional assignments.
• Collaborate closely with local and international teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Support and mentor accounting professionals involved in client engagements.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
• Work closely with senior management on portfolio development and client strategy.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience within a fiduciary, accounting, consulting, or professional services environment.
• Proven experience managing client portfolios and acting in a client-facing capacity.
• Strong accounting and reporting knowledge, ideally with exposure to international clients.
• ITAA qualification is required.
• Comfortable working independently as a freelance professional.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to take ownership of assignments.
• Fluent French and English are essential.
• Dutch is not required.
• Luxembourg market experience is highly desirable.
• Available to work primarily from Luxembourg, with occasional travel to Brussels.
