AZ Accountant
Location: Antwerp, Belgium
Contract: Freelance
Duration: Minimum 12 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: 4 Days On-Site per Week
About the role
Our client in Antwerp is looking for an experienced AZ Accountant to support the finance function on a long-term freelance basis.
Main responsibilities
- Manage the full A-Z accounting cycle
- Perform bookkeeping and general ledger activities
- Prepare month-end and year-end closing activities
- Support group consolidation processes
- Assist with financial reporting and reconciliations
- Collaborate with finance teams across multiple entities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
- Work within Microsoft Business Central on a daily basis
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience
- 10-15 years of experience preferred
- At least 1 year of Microsoft Business Central experience
- Proven experience in A-Z accounting
- Previous group consolidation experience
- Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting knowledge
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
This role would suit an experienced accountant looking to combine hands-on accounting responsibilities with group consolidation exposure in an international environment, as well as someone working across the wider business.
