Overview
We are currently supporting a Local Authority Building Control function in their search for experienced Class 2F Registered Building Inspectors (RBI) to join on a 12-month contract basis.
This opportunity offers the chance to work across either North or South London, supporting a busy and high-performing RBCA team with a strong pipeline of complex developments. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering statutory building control functions across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver statutory building control services in line with current legislation and regulatory standards
Manage a varied caseload of complex residential and commercial schemes
Conduct site inspections and plan assessments in accordance with Class 2F competency
Provide technical guidance to developers, contractors and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation
Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate project progression
Support enforcement activities where required
Required Experience
Registered as a Class 2F RBI under the Building Safety Regulator framework
Strong working knowledge of current Building Regulations and associated legislation
Experience operating within a Local Authority or RBCA environment
Proven ability to manage complex and high-value developments
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to work autonomously within a contract environment
Contract Details
12-month initial contract with strong likelihood of extension
Up to £80 per hour
