James McNulty

Managing Director
James joined Vivid in 2009 after completing his BSc in Business & Managerial Economics and now brings over 15 years of recruitment industry experience. He began by establishing our Engineering market presence, progressing into management while continuing to build deep sector expertise. Promoted to Sales Director in 2021, James led commercial performance and strategic growth for three years before stepping into his current role as Managing Director. Today, he oversees the business as a whole, continuing to elevate our expertise and performance to new limits each year.

After graduating from University with Dean’s List Academic Excellence, Ryan joined Vivid in 2011 and has since built over 13 years of leadership experience in specialist recruitment. Ryan has consistently delivered measurable outcomes across highly technical markets; supporting clients to secure critical talent whilst maintaining high service standards for candidates. As Sales Director, Ryan leads Vivid’s consultant teams with a strong emphasis on quality of delivery, client retention, speed-to-hire and candidate experience. He ensures our service remains consultative, data-informed and aligned to the industry dynamics our partners operate within.

William joined Vivid in 2013 after graduating from King’s College London and has since built deep expertise across European IT and Engineering recruitment markets. Leveraging his bilingual capabilities and strong regional insight, he has played a key role in expanding Vivid’s presence across mainland Europe, delivering measurable growth and long-term partnerships within highly competitive sectors. As Director of Benelux, William oversees our Amsterdam, Antwerp and Rotterdam operations, ensuring our service remains closely aligned to local industry demands and cross-border hiring dynamics.

Michelle completed her BSc in Psychology in 2015 and joined Vivid shortly after, building her expertise within construction recruitment. Following early success in the UK market, she led the strategic expansion into German Engineering and Software - establishing a strong, performance-led presence aligned to the country’s complex regulatory and industrial landscape. As Brand Director, Michelle brings over 9 years of recruitment experience and spearheaded the opening and growth of our Düsseldorf office as well as leading the German teams across Manchester and London – ensuring long-term partnership outcomes for clients and candidates alike.

Alex joined us in 2014 after completing a BSc in Sociology & Criminology and has since built over a decade of specialist recruitment expertise. Establishing our UK Government division from inception, he focused on financial and housing recruitment, two divisions that are now among the groups busiest markets. As Brand Director, he continues to strengthen market position, ensuring delivery remains aligned to regulatory standards and public sector expectations.

James joined Vivid in 2016 and quickly established himself within public sector recruitment. With over 10 years of industry experience, he has built deep expertise in government-aligned town planning, estates, regen and legal markets. As Brand Director he now oversees these divisions within the Government sector, continuing to drive growth and ensure compliance, high standards of service and long-term partnership value for clients and candidates.

Sagar joined in 2016 after graduating from the University of Portsmouth, and has since built strong expertise across technology recruitment, with a focus on IT markets in the Benelux region. Specialising in AI, Data, Cloud and Software contract hiring, he has developed a well-established function aligned to the fast-evolving demands of the Belgian and Dutch IT landscape. Now leading Benelux Contract, Sagar oversees our teams supporting organisations with critical IT talent across competitive markets, as well as leading our newer expansion into financial recruitment across Belgium.

Following graduation from the University of Exeter in 2016, James began his career with Vivid and built specialist expertise across Embedded, ERP and IT Infrastructure markets. He played a pivotal role in expanding our European footprint, launching Vivid’s first mainland office in Amsterdam in 2020. Now Head of Netherlands, James leads our Dutch operations, ensuring delivery remains aligned local market movements and compliant to DBA Act regulations.

Head of Benelux Perm
Leon joined us in 2015 as the first dedicated permanent consultant within the Benelux IT market, building deeper expertise with each passing year. Over 11 years on, through consistent high-quality service standards, he has established a high-performing function with teams covering payroll hiring across software, AI, Data, embedded systems, sales and engineering. Now Head of Permanent Recruitment for Benelux and the US, Leon leads a 20-person division, focused on quality of hire and partnerships across the IT, Sales & Engineering sectors in Benelux as well as growing our newly formed US pharma staffing team.

After graduating in 2016, Grant joined Vivid with a focus on the European Engineering market. Through years of providing tailored solutions to clients and candidates, he has established himself as a trusted partner to many operating across Europe’s engineering landscape. Now Head of Glasgow, Grant leads a rapidly expanding office, leading teams delivering services across piping design, electrical, FMCG, plant and quality engineering recruitment.

Head of DACH Engineering
After obtaining a degree in Business Oliver joined Vivid in January 2021, quickly establishing himself within the European Industrial Engineering market and developing focused expertise across the DACH region. He now leads our German Engineering team in Manchester, a division that works closely with our Düsseldorf office and focus on Health & Safety hiring. He drives sector-aligned growth and ensures our recruitment practices reflect the technical, regulatory and commercial demands of engineering clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Charles Weston

Head of Antwerp
After graduating from Nottingham Trent University in International Business, Charles began his journey with Vivid in London in 2019. He quickly established himself as a top performer, earning Consultant of the Year in 2022 and Top Biller in 2023. In 2022, Charles played a key role in expanding Vivid’s European footprint by opening the Antwerp office. From 2025 onwards, he has also been managing the Rotterdam office, leading high-performing teams across Belgium and the Netherlands as Team Leader.

Matthew Wigelsworth

Head of Düsseldorf
Matthew joined Vivid in 2022 after completing his master’s degree in English at Butler University in Indianapolis, USA. During his time at Butler, he was also a division 1 NCAA athlete, competing in middle-distance track events and cross country. Since joining Vivid, Matthew has demonstrated exceptional performance within the European construction and engineering markets, achieving Vivid's Rookie of the Year award in 2023 and going on to become the top performer in 2024. He now leads the establishment of Vivid’s second German office in Düsseldorf, a strategic initiative to strengthen the company’s footprint in the continent’s construction and engineering sectors.

Head of US
Just before graduating from his Law degree at the University of Manchester, Loui joined the Vivid Northwest office in 2018. After a slower start, Loui became a Team Leader just three years into his career. Shortly after two years of being the top biller in Public Sector and managing a small team, he volunteered to set up the US contract arm of Vivid. In late 2024, he set up the first office Stateside in Charlotte, NC. He now spearheads the growth of the office and brand, developing UK and US sales consultants.

Charlotte graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2014 and started her recruitment career at Sphere, opening the company’s first office outside of London. She moved to Vivid in April 2021, joining as an Induction Systems Trainer, and was quickly promoted to Learning and Development Consultant. Charlotte’s proven track record now sets her as the Head of Learning and Development across UK/EU Offices.

Marketing Manager
Amelia joined Vivid as the Office Manager for our busy London HQ in November 2021. Six months into the role, after demonstrating her value and passion towards a more creative avenue, she was promoted to our first ever Marketing Executive. Amelia is responsible for growing the junior department, overseeing the management of our social media accounts and leading exciting projects alongside senior stakeholders.

Candice graduated from the University of Nottingham back in 2019 before joining Vivid in 2021 as a Business Intelligence consultant. By the end of the year, she made the choice to switch to Internal Recruitment and was promoted to Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant the following summer. Recently she has transferred to our Manchester location and continues to hire ambitious graduates across multiple offices, whilst supporting the Internal team.

Steve brings a wealth of technical experience, having spent over 22 years in the industry. He maintains an impressive track record of growing business revenue, taking his previous company from $40m to $287m — achieving a remarkable 65% CAGR over five years; driven entirely by organic growth. As Chairman of the G2V group, Steve will oversee the Board and play a key role in shaping and supporting the group’s wider strategy.

After spending 7 years playing professional cricket for Warwickshire CC, Luke joined as a consultant in 2008. Since then, he has established himself as a key figure in G2V’s exponential growth, rising through every rank to his current position as CEO. He now oversees the implementation of the group's strategies and ethos, guiding the brand through rapid international expansion.

Prior to joining G2V Group in July 2021, Sam spent 10 years at KPMG, where he moved into the firm’s Corporate Finance practice. Sam is responsible for financial strategies and activities across G2V, prioritising the modernisation of the Group’s finance infrastructure. This enables Sam to support our market leading growth and improve the user experience for both candidates and clients alike.

Marc’s extensive experience working in IT comprises of 12 years in the Recruitment sector at SThree and Airswift. He is deeply passionate about how technology, processes and above all, people, deliver business value and uses that passion to ensure we operate with a world-class IT service. Marc leads the Global IT function, supporting people and offices worldwide.

Lauren Paterson

HR Director
Lauren joined G2V as HR Manager in 2022, followed by successive promotions to Head of HR in 2023 and HR Director in 2025. Lauren is responsible for leading and directing the HR function. Throughout her time at G2V, she has embedded an HR model that aligns with Group strategy and ensures HR delivers a value-added service across each department and seniority level within the Group. Prior to joining G2V, Lauren worked in various Human Resource and Learning and Development roles since 2006, including roles with Shell International and Ipsos Mori, as well as roles within investment management and private equity firms. This experience has provided Lauren with vast exposure to the complexity and ever-changing nature of HR. As a Chartered Member of the CIPD, Lauren has dedicated herself to building strong, trusted relationships, which enables her to promote a culture of collaboration, integrity, and excellence across G2V.

Associate Director
As a First-Class Business Management Graduate, Alasdair decided to take the dive into recruitment back in 2011. Since joining Vivid, he has consistently performed above and beyond expectation, placing him as the all-time Top Biller across the Group. He has successfully worked his way to becoming G2V's first Associate Director, heading up the highly profitable Life Sciences Sector for Vivid and assisting in specialised training and development across the group as a whole.

Group Facilities Manager
Having graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2020, Lydia joined Vivid as an Office Admin Assistant, and has since progressed to become the Office & Facilities Manager for the entire G2V Group. Her responsibilities include providing support to Senior Management whilst liasing with facility management vendors and suppliers, as well as being a key stakeholder in office moves and openings.
