Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days remote

Our client is a leading organisation within the industrial and environmental infrastructure sector, working on major projects focused on water treatment and purification. They are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Civil Works Preparator to support the development of a new water purification plant.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a technically significant infrastructure project and contribute to the preparation and execution of civil works from an early stage.
The Role
As a Civil Works Preparator, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating the civil works required for the project, ensuring activities are well planned, technically sound and ready for execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing civil works for the construction of a new water purification plant
- Reviewing technical drawings, specifications and project documentation
- Preparing work packages, methodologies and execution plans
- Supporting the planning and coordination of civil construction activities
- Reviewing quantities, materials and resources required for execution
- Working closely with engineers, project managers, subcontractors and site teams
- Identifying potential technical issues and developing practical solutions
- Coordinating interfaces between civil works and other project disciplines
- Supporting procurement and subcontractor activities where required
- Ensuring preparation activities align with project planning, quality and safety requirements
- Providing technical support to the site team throughout execution
About You
We are looking for an experienced Civil Works Preparator with a strong understanding of civil construction and infrastructure projects.
Desired Skills:
- Several years of experience in civil engineering, work preparation or construction preparation
- Experience preparing civil works for large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors and engineering teams
- Good understanding of construction methods, planning and project execution
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A practical, solutions-oriented approach
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider project teams
- Experience within water infrastructure, water treatment or environmental projects would be highly advantageous
