Virtual reality (VR) – Backend Software Engineer

Our virtual reality client is in the process of building a platform to help businesses + organisations model their urban landscapes into 3D and 4D compasses. The platform allows customers to visualise data in the cloud into various data meshes. One of the projects which they will be working on involves creating an entire 3D smart city.

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join this development team. The company replies on multiple languages/frameworks such as Java, JavaScript, Scala and Python. Depending on your preferences, you can rotate technologies used.

Role:

• Development in Java 11 & 17 (Spring-Data, Spring-Boot, Spring-Cloud, etc.)
• Work with tools including Kubernetes, Docker & Terraform.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch & MySQL.
• You will work in a cloud-native environment using Amazon AWS.
• You hold strong software engineering principles (SOLID).
• Work heavily with Rest API’s.
• Set-up CI/CD pipelines.
• Open to performing development, analysis, testing & architectural tasks.
• Join a high-performing environment.
• You can speak Fluent English
