Tree Officer – Interim Role – Southwest
Contract length: 3–6 months
Start date: Immediate or within 2 weeks
Rate: £40+ per hour
Office presence: Hybrid with regular on-site tree inspections across East Devon
Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a district council in East Devon who are seeking to hire an interim Tree Officer to support their Development Management and arboricultural functions. The postholder will be responsible for assessing applications for works to protected trees, undertaking on-site inspections, responding to TPO and conservation area notifications, and providing technical arboricultural advice across the council. Applicants must have a solid arboricultural background, previous experience working within a UK local authority, sound understanding of BS5837 and relevant environmental legislation, and confidence carrying out site-based assessments. A full driving licence is essential.
