We are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner with a strong background in development planning to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and manage transport planning projects related to residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Your expertise will help shape strategic transport solutions that align with local and national planning policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead transport assessments and provide expert advice for large-scale development projects.
Prepare and review Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans.
Liaise with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders to ensure planning compliance and support project approvals.
Undertake data collection, traffic modelling, and impact analysis to inform development proposals.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives.
Keep up to date with transport planning policy, legislation, and best practice.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in transport planning with a focus on development projects.
Proven track record delivering transport assessments within the planning process.
Strong understanding of national and local transport and planning policies (e.g., NPPF, Manual for Streets).
Proficiency in traffic modelling software and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Professional qualification or membership (e.g., CIHT, IHT) preferred.
