About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our Birmingham-based team, focusing on Development Planning. You will play a key role in shaping transport strategies that support new developments, contributing to the delivery of sustainable and accessible transport solutions across a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and coordinate Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Delivery & Servicing Plans for planning applications.
Undertake and interpret junction capacity modelling (e.g., using Junctions 10, LinSig, VISSIM or similar).
Provide transport input into masterplans, site layouts, and access strategies.
Support with public consultations, stakeholder engagement, and responding to transport-related planning queries.
Analyse and present transport data using GIS, TRICS, TEMPro, or similar datasets/tools.
Stay informed on local and national planning policy, guidance, and best practice.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
2-5 years’ experience in transport planning, ideally with a focus on development planning.
Experience working with planning applications and familiarity with the UK planning system.
Proficiency in modelling tools (e.g., ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, or VISSIM).
Strong report writing and communication skills.
Excellent data analysis and presentation skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines.
