We are seeking a motivated and skilled Town Planner with a minimum of 2 years’ post-graduate experience to join our dynamic planning team in Leeds. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality planning services across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, commercial, retail, education, and industrial developments.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad portfolio of projects with both private and public sector clients, ranging from small-scale developments to large, complex schemes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK planning policy, excellent project management skills, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage planning applications, appeals, and representations.
- Provide planning advice to clients on development potential and strategy.
- Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultees.
- Undertake site appraisals, planning research, and feasibility studies.
- Draft planning statements, design and access statements, and supporting documents.
- Contribute to Local Plan representations and development plan promotions.
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and environmental consultants.
- Keep up to date with planning legislation, policy changes, and best practices.
Requirements
- RTPI accredited degree or equivalent in Town Planning or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a UK-based planning role (public or private sector).
- Working knowledge of the UK planning system and legislation.
- Experience delivering projects in sectors such as residential, commercial, retail, education, or industrial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- MRTPI qualified or working towards chartered status (preferred but not essential).
