Overview:
One of Vivid Resourcing’s Local Authority clients in the West Midands is seeking a Trading Standards Officer to join their team for 6 months (option to extend).
Key Responsibilities:
Join a dedicated team of Trading Standards Officers committed to fostering a safe and fair trading environment in Somerset. In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing a comprehensive range of Trading Standards legislation, including:
- Responding to complaints and enquiries from the public and businesses.
- Undertaking proactive initiatives to ensure compliance and promote fair trading.
- Sampling goods and services to verify quality and safety standards.
- Inspecting local businesses to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Investigating alleged offences to uphold consumer protection.
