Â
You will be involved from the early planning phase through design, supplier coordination, and implementation on the shop floor. Acting as a central point between engineering, production, and external partners, you help ensure that new solutions are delivered efficiently, meet operational requirements, and integrate smoothly into existing processes.
Â
This role combines hands-on design work with coordination and communication. You will collaborate daily with production teams, fellow engineers, and suppliers, while also supporting prototype validation and implementation activities.
Â
The position offers a strong mix of technical creativity, practical problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork in a manufacturing environment.
Â
Your responsibilities:
Â
- Plan, organize, and coordinate requests for new manufacturing and logistics solutions from concept to implementation
- Work closely with production departments to understand operational challenges, align priorities, and define technical requirements
- Maintain regular contact with external suppliers, including technical alignment, progress follow-up, and delivery coordination
- Design manufacturing aids and logistics equipment using 3D CAD software (e.g. Creo or similar)
- Collaborate with an internal engineering support team to ensure consistent design approaches and technical quality
- Provide guidance and day-to-day support to other designers within the same engineering group
- Supervise prototype development, testing, and commissioning activities
- Act as a communication bridge between engineering and production to ensure smooth collaboration and timely feedback
Â
Your profile:
Â
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or another relevant technical field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience or strong interest in design within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficient in 3D CAD design; experience with Creo or similar parametric modeling software is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into clear, practical solutions for diverse stakeholders
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, engineering, and external partners
- Organized and structured, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously
- Hands-on mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and implementation
- Team-oriented personality with the confidence to support and guide colleagues when needed
