Systems Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer
Role Overview
The Systems V&V Engineer ensures the quality, reliability, and safety of complex systems through structured verification and validation activities. The role focuses on risk-based test strategies, system-level testing, and test automation, working closely with cross-functional teams to validate system performance and drive defect resolution throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Translate risk assessments into verification and validation test strategies
Plan and estimate V&V activities across the development lifecycle
Define and execute system-level test cases (manual and automated)
Develop and maintain automated test scripts
Document test results, defects, and validation outcomes
Lead defect review sessions and track issue resolution
Maintain a realistic system test environment
Provide clear updates on test progress and defect status
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
ISTQB (preferred advanced) or TMap certification
Experience in system-level testing, ideally in high-tech or regulated environments
Experience working in Agile / Scrum / SAFe development environments
Familiarity with risk-based testing and test automation tools
Experience with test management and defect tracking systems
Knowledge of ISO 13485 or similar standards is a plus
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Fluent in Dutch and English is a plus
