Our client is an established international consumer goods company with a strong production footprint in Belgium. They play a key role within the European supply network and operates in a fast-paced FMCG environment focused on operational excellence, service reliability, and continuous improvement.
Role Overview:
To strengthen the onsite Supply Chain, Planning & Logistics team, we are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager with a strong FMCG background.
In this role, you will manage the upstream and downstream flow of raw materials, finished goods, and related information between suppliers, production, and customers. Your mission is to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost, while operating within plant capacity constraints.
You will lead the site Supply Chain Planning team (production planning, raw material planning, and new product planning) and act as a key member of the plant management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the onsite Supply Chain Planning and Procurement team
Oversee MPS, MRP, RCCP, and detailed production scheduling
Manage raw material planning and procurement in line with supplier agreements
Optimize production capacity within operational constraints
Resolve daily operational planning and supply issues
Monitor KPIs (service levels, stock levels, forecast accuracy, costs) and drive continuous improvement
Collaborate closely with Plant Manager, Production, Logistics, R&D, Quality, central planners, and external suppliers
Communicate real-time scheduling and product availability updates
Support cost reduction initiatives, lead time improvements, and service level enhancements
Continuously monitor performance versus budget
Candidate Requirements:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Economics
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain management role within FMCG, preferably in a production environment
Hands-on experience in at least two supply chain domains (planning, procurement, logistics, etc.)
Strong analytical mindset with excellent numerical skills
Advanced SAP experience (MM module mandatory; other modules are a plus)
Strong Excel and systems proficiency
Fluent in Dutch and English
Strong leadership and people management skills
Results-driven, stress-resistant, and capable of handling day-to-day operational challenges
Dynamic, decisive, and able to translate strategy into operational execution
