Senior Accountant (2-Year Contract) – Zaventem
Overview
Our client, an international organisation based in Zaventem, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will work in a 3-person accounting team, taking responsibility for full-cycle accounting and supporting both management reporting and statutory compliance under BEGAAP and IFRS.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle A-to-Z accounting including bookings, invoices, and bank statements.
- Manage monthly and yearly closings and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyse management and statutory reports in line with BEGAAP and IFRS standards.
- Supervise and coordinate accounting activities within the team.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across finance, HR, and management.
- Ensure data integrity within SAP and support process improvements where necessary.
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of BEGAAP and good familiarity with IFRS.
- Proven experience with SAP and accounting software tools.
- Languages: Dutch (fluent), English (strong working level); French is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills — adaptable, reliable, and capable of taking ownership.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
- Available to start as soon as possible and commit for the full duration of the project.
