Daily Rate: Competitive All inclusive rate – 40 hour work week
About the Project

Our client is delivering SuedLink – a 700 km underground HVDC cable system with four converter stations, designed to transport 4GW of renewable energy from northern Germany to the south. Your Role
As Site Supervisor (Cable Installation), you will take ownership of on-site activities related to high-voltage cable pulling, laying, jointing, and termination. You’ll ensure that all cable works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical standards and project requirements. This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring strong coordination with contractors and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise cable pulling and laying operations for HVDC systems, ensuring correct installation methods
- Oversee jointing, termination, and testing activities, guaranteeing compliance with quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to manage interfaces during cable installation
- Monitor adherence to project specifications, international standards, and environmental regulations
- Ensure occupational safety and implement risk mitigation measures on-site
- Prepare detailed progress and quality reports for project management and stakeholders
Essential Qualifications & Certifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in high-voltage cable installation (HVDC experience highly desirable)
- Proven expertise in cable pulling, laying, jointing, and termination for large-scale projects
- Familiarity with international standards and German regulations for HV cable works
- Valid HV safety certifications (e.g., High Voltage Switching Authorization)
- Experience in EPC project environments and contractor coordination
- Fluent German (mandatory) and good English skills
- Willingness to travel between Berlin and Halle-Leipzig
