About the Client:
Our client is a leading Engineering firm specialised in construction/infrastructure who operate globally and work on a wide-range or large and small scale projects and are currently operating on a part of the Oosterwheel project. (largest Infrastructure project in Europe!)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced freelance Site Supervisor, with a hands on background on infrastructure projects, to oversee the team of one part of the Oosterwheel project relating to road and tunnel construction. Overseeing a team of roughly 20-25 individuals from the client and subcontractors, ensuring their construction is being done within safety standards, quality standards, specifications and being done properly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join as a Site Supervisor to lead a team of 20-25 client employees/sub-contractors working on road and tunnel construction.
- Start the day at 06:30/07:00 and get everyone set up for the day, so they are all aware of the plan to follow.
- Be outside in the field, overseeing the employees supervising the safety, quality and ensuring the work is being carried out properly, according to standards and requirements.
- Handle issues as the supervisor and work closely with the other members of the leadership team onsite.
- The outside day ends at 16:00 where you will then come into the office to carry out administrative tasks.
- Lead from the front and put yourselves in the shoes of the employees/contractors you supervise, to ensure you pick up on things quickly and offer sound advice/solutions.
Candidate Requirements:
- Hands on experience in road construction/tunnel construction.
- Experience as a site supervisor on road construction/tunnel construction.
- Fluent Dutch.
