Project: 100MW BESS (Battery Energy Storage System)
About the Project
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a 100MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Eastern Germany, close to Cottbus. This is a key role on a large-scale energy infrastructure project with a reputable developer/EPC.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall on-site management and coordination of construction activities
- Supervision of subcontractors (electrical and civil works)
- Ensuring compliance with German HSE standards and project quality requirements
- Managing site schedule and reporting progress to project management
- Coordinating inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
- Acting as the primary on-site point of contact for stakeholders
- Monitoring and enforcing safety procedures and documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on PV or BESS projects
- Strong background in electrical or civil engineering
- Experience delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects
- Fluent German or Polish (both languages highly advantageous)
- Ability to work as a freelancer in Germany (EU passport holder or German resident)
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- Familiar with German construction regulations and HSE standards
