About the Project
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a 100MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Eastern Germany, close to Cottbus. This is a key role on a large-scale energy infrastructure project with a reputable developer/EPC.
Key Responsibilities
Overall on-site management and coordination of construction activities
Supervision of subcontractors (electrical and civil works)
Ensuring compliance with German HSE standards and project quality requirements
Managing site schedule and reporting progress to project management
Coordinating inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
Acting as the primary on-site point of contact for stakeholders
Monitoring and enforcing safety procedures and documentation
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on PV or BESS projects
Strong background in electrical or civil engineering
Experience delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects
Fluent German or Polish (both languages highly advantageous)
Ability to work as a freelancer in Germany (EU passport holder or German resident)
Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
Familiar with German construction regulations and HSE standards
