Senior Quality Engineer (Freelance / Part-Time)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support a growing distribution business in Limburg. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on strengthening quality processes, particularly around customer complaints and supplier coordination.
The company operates across both B2B and B2C channels, distributing products such as radiators, ventilation units, underfloor heating systems, and heat pumps. Due to increasing workload and local operational needs, there is a strong expectation that on-site quality support in Belgium will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage customer complaint handling, with a strong focus on returns analysis
- Act as the main point of contact between customers and suppliers for quality issues
- Develop, track, and improve complaint codes and reporting structures
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Support and ensure quality alignment during a new ERP system implementation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and customer service teams
- Improve and standardize quality processes within a distribution environment
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Quality Engineer in a distribution or supply chain environment
- Strong background in complaints handling, especially customer returns and supplier communication
- Experience setting up or improving complaint coding and tracking systems
- Familiarity with ERP implementations (supporting or leading from a quality perspective)
- Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to operate independently
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a strong advantage)
