Senior PLC Software Engineer
We are seeking a senior PLC programmer who takes ownership of projects from start to finish while strengthening the team’s technical foundation. You combine hands-on expertise with a structured approach to software development, helping establish standards and best practices. Rather than managing people, you act as a trusted technical lead – someone colleagues rely on for guidance, consistency, and quality You’ll work with Beckhoff Twincat 3 and integrate PLCs with advanced PC software, robotics, and vision systems. Your work directly impacts real-world installations across international projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead PLC Projects independently, from functional design through to on-site commissioning.
- Develop control software for complex systems including conveyors, cranes, lifts, washers, and robotic integrations.
- Establish and improve software standards (structure, naming conventions, version control, and testing procedures).
- Support and mentor fellow programmers by sharing knowledge and promoting consistent ways of working.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a PLC programmer, with the ability to run projects independently.
- Strong knowledge of Structured Text (Twincat 3).
- Solid understanding of software structure, version control, and standardization practices.
- Ability to understand and translate full operational processes into effective control systems.
