Job Description

Vivid are working exclusively with a council based in Kent to find a senior planner to join the Local Authority’s Development Management team. The role will be offered initially at 6 months, with a view to extend dependant on budgets and performance. The client can offer a flexible working week, with the option to work from home, and condense hours as desired. The rate payable is DOE, but will likely sit between £32-£38p/h.

The main duties of the role will be to deal with a varied caseload (40-50 apps per caseload) of minor, householder, small major, complex minor and other cases. In addition to this, there is scope to pick up some larger cases (50 -80 units) if desired.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience within a development management team in the public sector
• Experience of dealing with applications
• A driving licence and, ideally, access to a car for site visits
