I’m currently working exclusively with a well-established and highly regarded private planning consultancy in Rugby that is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to support continued growth across the Midlands region.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner who enjoys working in a commercially driven environment and wants genuine progression within a supportive, ambitious team.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a successful consultancy advising private sector clients including developers, land promoters, landowners and investors. The team works across a diverse project portfolio including residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes.
The role offers a high degree of autonomy and client exposure, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial site appraisal through to determination and appeal where required.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a varied caseload of planning applications and appeals
Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documentation
Advising clients on planning strategy and development potential
Liaising and negotiating with local planning authorities and consultees
Representing clients at planning committees and public consultations
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Contributing to business development and client relationship management
About You
My client is looking for someone who:
Is MRTPI qualified
Has strong private sector or consultancy experience
Demonstrates excellent knowledge of UK planning policy and process
Is confident managing projects independently
Has strong report writing and client-facing skills
Is commercially aware and solution-focused
