We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer, who wants to be part of multidisciplinary development projects as a Design Engineer for Industrial automation products such as Industrial PCs, Industrial Monitors and HMI.
As a Mechanical engineer, you will be leading design and development activities for the multidisciplinary development projects with focus on mechanical design. You will take responsibility from the scratch to end of the product during all product development phases.
What will you do?
· Lead the mechanical development of Industrial PC’s, Monitors, HMI’s, etc.
· Analyse the market requirements and convert these into product specification and modular designs, together with the architects of HW, SW and Manufacturing.
· Design high quality products with your team, that can be manufactured and assembled reliable and economically.
· Work both with local teams including the manufacturing organisation in den Bosch as with international teams from the different locations, both within Europe, USA, and Japan
· Closely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the final design which is applicable for manufacturing (DFM);
· Improve working methods on mechanical design and industrialization.
What are we looking for?
· BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering;
· You have at least 8-10 years work experience; Seniority to make agreements across the organisation and be hands-on as designer
· Experience with 3D Modelling (SolidWorks), technical drawings, tolerance analysis;
· You can translate individual customer requests to attractive generic designs by support of the mechanical development team;
· You are experienced with designing high mix low volume parts with different manufacturing technologies (sheet metal, extrusion, injection moulding)
· You are experienced in making product families based on modular architectures.
· You are experienced working in multidisciplinary international design teams.
