3D Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Machinery & Systems
We’re currently supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing company that develops industrial machines, complete production lines, and modules from concept design to start of production. Their projects span across various sectors, including High-Tech, Mobility, Energy, Infrastructure, FoodTech, and Defence.
Due to continued growth and new challenging projects, the team is looking to expand with a motivated and technically skilled 3D Mechanical Engineer.
Your Role
As a 3D Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and construction of custom industrial applications based on client-specific requirements. You’ll work closely with project managers and suppliers to turn concepts into reliable, manufacturable solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Design and construct mechanical systems and industrial equipment in 3D according to customer specifications.
Perform strength and tolerance calculations based on relevant norms and construction codes.
Provide technical support to project leads and cross-functional teams.
Communicate with suppliers and manage the procurement of customer-specific components.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
Proven experience in 3D design – experience with CATIA or similar CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor) is a plus.
Basic knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Understanding of fabrication processes, including CNC machining, welding, and equipment design.
Solid understanding of materials science and mechanical principles.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).
