Role Overview
The Finance Manager will serve as a key business partner, overseeing financial operations, compliance, team coordination, and financial reporting for both Belgian and international entities. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting and tax regulation, leadership abilities, and experience with ERP systems.
You will act as a central point of contact for finance, audits, regulatory reporting, and IT coordination, playing a vital role in supporting strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Control:
Oversee monthly closings, financial reporting, and controlling activities.
Manage accounts receivable/payable and monitor cash flows.
Ensure accurate accounting and robust financial controls.

Compliance & Taxation:
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
Calculate and file corporate income tax and other tax obligations.
Manage audit processes and regulatory reporting to authorities.

Business Partnering & Coordination:
Act as a trusted advisor for various departments and management.
Serve as the Single Point of Contact for IT-related finance topics.

Leadership:
Lead and support a team of 3–4 FTEs across Belgium 
Guide shared service centre staff and coordinate cross-functional efforts.

Projects:
Drive and manage ad hoc financial reporting and improvement projects.
Support ongoing optimisation of finance operations and ERP usage.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Masters is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, BE-GAAP, and IFRS.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Project management experience is an asset.
• Fluent in Dutch; additional language skills are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Contract Details

• Location: On-site in Herentals, Belgium, with some flexibility depending on project needs.
• Duration: 3 months minimum; extensions possible based on performance and business needs.
• Rate: Competitive daily freelance rate based on experience and qualifications.
• Start Date: October 2025
