We’re looking for an experienced and driven Senior Development Manager to join our well-established Housing Association client, based primarily in the North East. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on delivering an ambitious development programme, creating much-needed affordable homes and thriving, sustainable communities across the region.

The Role:
As Senior Development Manager, you will:
✅ Lead and oversee the successful delivery of large-scale affordable housing developments from inception to completion.
✅ Identify and secure new development opportunities, ensuring financial viability and securing appropriate funding streams.
✅ Drive strategic partnerships with local authorities, landowners, contractors, and key stakeholders to accelerate project progress.
✅ Ensure excellence in project quality, sustainability, and compliance with planning regulations and housing policies.
✅ Manage risks, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
✅ Lead and mentor development teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
About You:
We’re looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable leader who brings:
✔ Extensive experience in housing development, property development, or project management at a senior level.
✔ A deep understanding of the housing sector, ideally within a housing association, local authority, or private sector developer.
✔ Expert knowledge of funding mechanisms, planning policies, and affordable housing regulations within the North East.
✔ Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive results.
✔ A passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable housing solutions that make a real difference to local communities.
✔ A strong grasp of the North East housing market, including regional development challenges and opportunities.
