Job Title – Senior AI Engineer / Team Lead (AI Consulting & Pre-Sales)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer / Team Lead to lead a team of approximately 10 AI professionals, combining AI consulting delivery with pre-sales and front-end customer engagement.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you will guide technical direction, mentor engineers and consultants, and act as a senior technical authority in client conversations—particularly during discovery, solution design, and proposal phases.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML solutions across diverse client engagements
- Provide architectural guidance on AI platforms, data pipelines, and model deployment
- Review and validate solution designs, code quality, and delivery standards
- Stay current with AI trends (GenAI, LLMs, MLOps, cloud AI services) and translate them into practical use cases
Team Leadership & Management
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of ~10 AI engineers and consultants
- Allocate resources across projects based on skills, availability, and client needs
- Support performance management, career development, and hiring activities
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance consulting culture
Consulting & Client Engagement
- Act as senior technical counterpart for customers during delivery engagements
- Translate business problems into AI-driven solutions with measurable value
- Balance technical depth with business pragmatism depending on client maturity
- Support long-term customer relationships and trusted-advisor positioning
Pre-Sales & Front-End Support
- Support pre-sales activities including technical discovery, solution scoping, and estimations
- Participate in client presentations, workshops, and proposal development
- Collaborate closely with sales and account teams to shape winning AI offerings
- Assess feasibility, risks, and delivery approach for proposed solutions
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in AI / Machine Learning / Data Science roles
- Strong experience with Python and modern ML/AI frameworks
- Practical experience with LLMs, GenAI, or advanced analytics in production environments
- Solid understanding of MLOps, model deployment, and lifecycle management
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) and AI services
- Dutch + English language skills (Mandatory)
